Erickson v. Trinity Theatre, Inc.
13 F.3d 1061 (7th Cir. 1994) - full text opinion

The plaintiff, Karen Erickson, sued Trinity Theaters for failure to pay royalties for three of her works: Much Ado About Shakespeare, The Theatre Time Machine, and Prairie Voices: Tales from Illinois. The first was a play comprised of scenes from various Shakespeare plays, along with other writers from his time. The second play is based on Native American folk tales, while the third draws from Illinois state history.
