Patrick Nagel was an artist
well known for his clean, Art Deco-style illustrations of women. In the early 1980's his popularity was established by his work for Playboy and for designing the cover artwork for Duran Duran's popular Rio album. Unfortunately, Nagel died suddenly from a heart attack, aged thirty-eight, in 1984.
